Sunday Upper Room message by Daniel Murungi

Abba Father, Jesus made us this promise, that Your Spirit would lead us into all truth, and that is my prayer today. I pray for the spirit of discernment over your Bride, so she will know the truth when she hears it. Take the blinders off Lord of all creation and let all see You as You really are. I praise You my eternal ageless King in Jesus's Name, Amen.

How do we receive the Kingdom of heaven?

As little children.

Matt.18.3 - And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Why?

I will focus only on one character trait little children have. They are meek. Little children are humble and pure in their outlook. They are so trusting even if their parent led them astray, like sheep they'd just go to the slaughter.

How is Jesus described during His earthly ministry?

As meek, humble, as a lamb.

Matt.21.5 - Tell ye the daughter of Sion, Behold, thy King cometh unto thee, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass.

Jesus reveals Himself as humble. He reveals Himself a servant of all. And His instruction is that we mirror Him, be like Him.

Matt.11.29 - Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

He says, "Learn of me" or use me as a template. See how I do things and do the same, "for I am meek and lowly in heart". Only then can we commune with Him.

Isa.61.1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

Notice the priority He gives to the meek and broken in Spirit. He comes for them and to them. He teaches them, He dwells with them, He loves their company because they are as He is.

The Kingdom of heaven is our inheritance and even then He says you have to be meek, humble to inherit His Kingdom.

Ps.37.11 - But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Ps.149.4 - For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.

He adorns the meek with Himself. He is their clothing, their covering, their righteousness, their justification.

Jesus washed His disciples feet on the night He was betrayed. He looked over at them and said, in

Matt.26.23 - Jesus replied, "The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me will betray me.

A little before that, Jesus had washed all their feet. He did not change just because of the circumstances around Him. He remained meek. He remained true to His Father and as such, true to Himself.

Abba Father, You've already made a way for us to be like Jesus. Help us to look at Him and never stop. Only with eyes fixed on Him, can we become all that You desire for us. In Jesus's Name Amen.

In the message that Daniel shared this day, he talks about humility, washing each other's feet, and loving God and our neighbors Jesus's way.

Shalom.
