King David writes this:
Ps.30.11 - You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy,
Ps.30.12 - that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
To over turn is to undo or to turn something from one state to another. David says "You (God) have turned my mourning into joyful dancing, and clothed me with joy"
But for what purpose? Why does God change us and our circumstances from one state to another?
David again answers this saying " that I might sing praises to you (God) and not be silent".
Revelation 4 the last verse reveals we were created for God's pleasure, for intimate fellowship with Him, to worship Him perpetually or endlessly. That might be hard to do, when we live in endless defeat; not to mention His Word reveals that our pain grieves Him.
In order that we might dwell in sweet fellowship with God, He turns our pain and sorrow, and mourning to joy and dancing, graves to gardens and causes our dry bones to live again.
